Horse North Rescue Brings Back Rusty

Horse North Rescue in Michigan won one of the buckets of chia seeds in our Thanksgiving Giveaway. They decided to use the seeds on their new rescue, Rusty. Angelia Wilgenhof shared with us their early success with feeding Rusty US Chia Seeds.

“Thank you for the chia seeds that Horse North Rescue won in your contest a few weeks ago. They couldn’t have come at a better time. We received an emaciated horse Rusty for rehab after he was severely neglected. We started him on the chia seeds the day they arrived. He is looking and feeling so much better already. We have had a great response and many questions about the chia seeds on our rescue page. I am glad to have found such a wonderful product, or I could say so glad such a wonderful product found us..it is a blessing. Here is rusty the day of his rescue and after only 9 days getting hay pellets and chia seeds. He was too malnourished to start on grain, but with the GI benefits of the chia we were able to slowly incorporate senior feed.”
